Education & Training Award (RQF)

We are are a leading provider of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) Qualification. Delegates will be required to invest 120 hours in total to achieve this qualification by means of self directed learning utilising the support materials supplied, producing assignments, followed by attending six days face to face classroom work with their tutors. Typically we offer the classroom work as two full days over three consecutive weeks, allowing delegates to develop as they progress.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities. 

How long will it take?

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification; however, there is a considerable amount of written work to be completed. This will involve reading of supplied reference books, researching specific topics, applying theory to practical scenarios and demonstrating knowledge and understanding through written work. Therefore, candidates for this course should have a good standard of written and verbal communications skills and be prepared to undertake a considerable amount of evening study.

Topics covered

These include the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training and ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by the completion of a portfolio of evidence and observation of teaching.
