Paediatric First Aid – EYFS

Remote First Aid | Friday 24th April 2020 | Paediatric First Aid

Today the UK Government updated their information and guidelines in respects to Paediatric first aid within the Early Years Foundation Setting (EYFS) during the Coronavirus Covid 19 outbreak. These guidelines only apply to EYFS in England. This guideline changes refer to ”Best Endeavours” on what a provider of EYFS provision has to provide, this includes those that remain open for key workers and those that may reopen in the coming months. The granted extensions are valid until September 2020, and may be extended further subject to ministerial approval if the needs arise on a monthly basis if required. Remote First Aid are able to provide the paediatric first aid updating online where an EYFS provider uses a full first aid in work certificate holder as required by these updated guidelines and thus a EYFS provider will remain compliant in their licence. Early Years Foundation Stage providers may read the full text in section 6.2 of the guidelines issued Friday 24th April at 10am. Please note these guidelines only apply to EYFS providers operating in England. Read the full text here. Providers may get in touch today to enrol their staff on to the EYFS Paediatric first aid bolt-on module for workplace first aiders to ensure compliance is met or maintained.
