Advice for nannies and their employers in Wales: Updated

The Welsh Government has updated its advice for those employing a Nanny and for those working as a nanny, first published in May 2020. Their advice was updated in January 2021 and gives clear advice in the following areas:

Those working as a nanny in Wales are required to hold a full paediatric first aid certificate. We offer regulated paediatric first aid training as blended learning or fully face to face, whereby a nanny seeking this qualification, can complete 6 hours of online learning, followed by 6 hours of face to face learning at our centre in Chepstow. We can also provide this training at a nannies own place of work, subject to the Covid risk assessment. Which ever option a nanny or their employer selects, we can assure that learning will be delivered in a relaxed safe manner at all times, however selecting the blended approach mitigates and reduces the risk to all.
