Anaphylaxis Awareness Training
Who is this training for?
A training course aimed at individuals who require anaphylaxis awareness training. Covering the safe and correct use of Adrenaline Auto Injectors. Training goes in to depth of common triggers, recognition and calling the Emergency Medical Services.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners will undertake a minimum of three hours of learning. You may choose a full face to face training course or complete a blended course where learners complete 1 hour of on-line learning with assessments, followed by two hours of face to face practical learning and final assessment.
Topics covered
Topics include common triggers in the population, the early recognition and symptoms of someone having an severe allergic reaction, immediate treatments and actions to be carried out including calling for the Emergency Medical Services, detailed understanding of how each device works, suffering from anaphylaxis and caring for the casualty until the Emergency Ambulance arrives.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
