This course is suitable for those who work far from help and require a higher level of first aid skills in wilderness areas.
When and When?
At your venue at dates and times that suit your group. Employers can choose to run this training over three consecutive weeks by arrangement.
Who should attend
For those who are 18 or older and work or travel to wilderness areas within the UK such as the Scottish Islands and Highlands. Those attending will benefit from having attended previous training such as First Aid in Work High Risk environments, or a two-day outdoor first aid course in the last three-years.

- HSE recognised BSi Trauma First Aid Equipment
- Use of Tourniquets & Haemostatic Agents
- Simple airway managements
- Bag Valve Mask Resuscitation
- Advanced Heat Related Injuries
- Drowning & Near Drowning

Assessment & certification
Assessment is by means of practical observation, oral & written questioning and on successful completion certification is valid for three years. Renewing this qualification is by means of full attendance at the three-year point.
Price & booking
The cost of this course is £1,600.00 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 6 candidates and includes certification and a manual. There are no additional costs.
