First Aid at Work Requalification
Who is this qualification for?
Where an employers needs assessment indicates first aid provision, then those satisfactorily completing this requalifcation training will be awarded a new First aid at work certificate. All training complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (First Aid Regulations 1981).

How long will it take?
Delegates should expect to attend 16 hours typically over two long days, excluding breaks.
Topics covered
Training covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness. The training includes first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries, bleeding, burns, asthma attaches, diabetic emergencies and anaphylaxis. The training also includes how to treat a casualty that is choking.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a final multiple-choice theory test. Final outcome will be pass or fail.
