Who is this qualification for?

Where an employers needs assessment directs a higher level of first aid response within their workplace, then this Outdoor First Responder training may meet their needs assessment. The training goes beyond first aid at work and develops key skills and knowledge when providing first aid.

When joining us

Previous experience?

None is required to join this training. Those that have attended first aid at work training, will develop their skills further by attending this training.

How long will it take?

Students complete 12 hours of on-line learning relating to the key knowledge elements, before attending the three-days of face to face Outdoor First Responder training.

Course Syllabus

Learners are required to successfully achieve all learning outcomes from the course syllabus below.

Assessment method

Each learner is assessed by on-line assessments, practical demonstrations and a final multiple-choice theory exam on the last day of the course.


Students successfully completing this training will be certificated with their Initial Person on Scene (RQF) TQUK certificate, which is valid for 3-years. This accreditation may viewed on the national framework here.
