Who is this qualification for?

Joining this training will allow anyone aged 14+ to provide emergency first aid when taking part in outdoor sports activities.

How long will it take?

Learners should expect to attend seven hours typically over one day including breaks.

Topics covered

Training covers the roles and responsibilities of the sports first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness within the context of the sports leader and how to provide emergency aid when required.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
