Schools Inset Day First Aid

Who is this qualification for?

This first aid for schools course is designed to be used for inset training in schools.  It is very important that the teaching and support staff know basic first aid and this course covers all the basics.

How long will it take?

To complete the First Aid for Schools First training will require a minimum of 4 hours.

Topics covered

The training covers the key knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities, how to summon help. how to assess an incident, Basic Life Support, using a Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Choking and Bleeding, Anaphylaxis and unresponsive child/infant. This training now includes the very latest protocols on how to provide safe and effective first aid for Schools during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Assessment method

This training is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
