Schools First Aid
Who is this training for?
A Schools First Aid training course which is designed to be used for inset training in school settings. It is aimed at all school staff, governors and after school activity staff with a duty of care for children.
How long will it take?
To complete the First Aid for Schools First training will require a minimum of 5 hours, excluding breaks.
Topics covered
Training covers all key knowledge when responding to a first aid incident within a schools setting and includes; roles and responsibilities, how to assess an incident, how to summon help, providing Basic Life Support, using the schools Automated External Defibrillator (AED), recognition and treatments for Choking, Bleeding, Anaphylaxis and caring for the unresponsive infant or child.
Assessment method
This training is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
