Who is this training for?
A *Ofsted & **CIW the Regulators for Early Years Childcare Sector (EYCS) in England & Wales recommended Annual Paediatric First Aid refresher training for those holding a paediatric first aid qualification with a duty to respond, while looking after or caring for infants and children.
How long will it take?
To complete this paediatric first aider annual refresher training requires a minimum of 3 hours.
Topics covered
The training covers the key knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider, how to assess an incident, Basic Life Support, using a Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Choking and Bleeding, Anaphylaxis and unresponsive child/infant. This training now includes the very latest protocols on how to provide safe and effective paediatric first aid during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Assessment method
This training is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.
