Who is this qualification for?
This course is designed to meet the needs of those Healthcare Professionals requiring the skills in Basic Life Support with AED. This training has been designed to meet all the required learning outcomes and are aligned to the Skills for Health UK Core Skills Training Framework or UK-CSTF. This includes both level 2 adult and paediatric patient care. The course is also Skills for Care Endorsed.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 3 hours of learning, This maybe taken fully face to face or learners may choose to complete two hours of on-line learning followed by one hour of practical skills training face to face.
This course covers Basic Life Support skills and includes skills for Adult, Child and Infant as well as healthcare variations on infant CPR with AED. The course includes Safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression-only CPR, CPR handover and choking. This is ideal for nurses, care workers or medical professionals needing annual updates to complete professional membership. In most cases, this course is ideal as an online-only course but if you need a practical session as well we are able to provide the necessary skills assessment.
Learners completing the on-line learning are required to be then assessed by a practical demonstration and completing a multiple-choice theory test paper for full recognition by the GDC. Certification issued is valid for one-year. Registrants are required to attended and complete this training annually.
