Oxygen Provider

Who is this qualification for?

Oxygen Provider training is for anyone requiring to provide Oxygen in first aid. This training is also suitable for first aiders annual HSE refresher training.

How long will it take?

Three hours of face to face training, excluding breaks.

Course outline

Providing Oxygen therapy is a simple skill to those requiring it, however there are safety measures to be considered, such as recognising when to or not to provide oxygen to a casualty, assembling and dissembling equipment correctly. Delegates will also learn how to use Bag Valve Mask during resuscitation attempts, alongside the safe and correct use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Assessment method

Delegates are assessed by means of practical demonstrations, oral questioning and short online exam.
