Who is this qualification for?

Level 3 Award in Education and Training is designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work, or currently work, within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities.

Entry Requirements?

Learners are to hold or have the ability to demonstrate English & Maths at Level 3 or higher.

How long will it take?

Learners will need to invest a minimum of 120 hours to achieve this qualification of which 48 hours will be in class with our tutors and assessors. Our typical course programme is run as three blocks of two days over three weeks. This is a tried and tested method, where our learners are able to develop the key skills in teaching others, while completing their portfolio of evidence.

Topics covered

These include the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training and ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by the completion of a portfolio of evidence and personal reflection, alongside observation of teaching and peer reviews.
