Reflecting on the 2025 Resuscitation Guidelines Update

With the recent updates to the Resuscitation Guidelines 2025, it was both timely and rewarding to review and implement the changes within my role. Key highlights included the revised guidance on AED pad placement and the reaffirmed emphasis on the encircling thumbs technique in infant CPR. These updates provided a valuable opportunity to refresh and practise my resuscitation skills across all age groups, while ensuring that training delivery reflects the latest evidence-based standards.

Integrating these changes has strengthened my confidence in facilitating high-quality, inclusive learning experiences, especially in scenarios where clarity and precision are crucial. It’s a reminder of how ongoing professional development not only enhances technical competence but also reinforces our shared commitment to safety and excellence in emergency care.
