Health & Safety Management Courses Level 4

This qualification is designed to support the roles in an environment, where the primary or secondary focus of the role involves giving emergency medical care as the first person on the scene of an accident or emergency.

Ideally suited for security operatives, close protection officers and event medical staff. As the First Person On Scene, you’ll be responsible for stabilising the condition of the patient and caring for them until help arrives.

Topics covered include assessing and responding to incidents, CPR for adults, therapeutic oxygen therapy and catastrophic bleeding. The qualification also covers assisting a casualty who is suffering from major trauma injury or illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries, heart attack and anaphylaxis.

WHAT

 

In line with industry guidance, the qualification supports responders for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to attened the requlification course. In addition, we recommend that learners refresh their knowledge annually.

 

This modern, fit‑for‑purpose qualification meets employers’ needs and prepares learners to step confidently into the role of the Emergency Care First Responder role. Developing and building real-world practical skills and with real‑world decision‑making required for effective pre‑hospital emergency care. This regulated qualification allows learners to develop their knowledge and skills before joining the fully immersive face-to-face training.

Assessment:

Assessment is by way of a practical and multiple choice assessment. For IQA reasons some assessments may be filmed for quality purposes.

Certification:

Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded the Level 3 Award in Emergency Care for First Responders (RQF) which has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

The RQF is a qualification framework regulated by Ofqual. The qualification is also regulated by Qualifications Wales.
