WHAT

At Remote First Aid, we understand the importance of maintaining both competence and confidence as a first aid instructor. Furthermore, the course enables instructors to refresh their practical first aid skills, update their knowledge of current best practice and demonstrate continued occupational competence. This is particularly important for trainers who deliver first aid qualifications in workplaces, educational settings, community organisations and healthcare environments. In addition to renewing your First Aid at Work qualification, this programme also includes your annual teaching observation, which remains valid for a further 12 months. Consequently, you can satisfy two essential instructor requirements during a single visit, saving both valuable time and administrative effort. Importantly, both the First Aid at Work requalification and annual teaching observation align with the expectations outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for first aid instructors delivering training under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. As a result, you can continue teaching with confidence, knowing that your qualifications and professional practice remain current and compliant.
Furthermore, experienced instructors may progress directly to assessment without attending training. However, they must fully meet the requirements outlined in Section 3 of the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum FAQ. In addition, applicants choosing this option must submit comprehensive supporting evidence for review. Please note that the assessment fee remains the same regardless of the route selected.
