Sports & Activity First Aid Train the Trainer First Aid RQF

The Level 3 Award in Teaching and Assessing First Aid (RQF) prepares individuals to teach and assess regulated first-aid qualifications. It aligns with National Occupational Standards for Learning and Development, and reflects Resuscitation Council guidance alongside Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements. This qualification provides the essential foundation for a successful role in the first aid education sector.

Regulated Qualification Number: 610/5954/7

Learners gain this qualification through five days of face‑to‑face training, supported by around 12 hours of online pre‑classroom learning. They prove their competence through a structured portfolio of evidence and a final multiple‑choice exam. Results are awarded as Pass or Fail, keeping the assessment clear, fair, and fully aligned with regulated‑sector expectations.

WHAT

This lifelong Regulated Qualification provides a nationally recognised, transferable credential for teaching and assessing first aid—far more robust than typical provider‑issued instructor certificates. The programme also prepares freelance trainers for working with centres and awarding organisations, covering essential responsibilities, quality assurance expectations, regulatory requirements, and professional obligations when delivering accredited first aid and first responder training.
