Outdoor First Aid

A range of Outdoor specific first aid training courses, meeting a range of Sports National Governing Bodies standards where indicated. All Outdoor first aid training offered here meets the recommendations by the Institute for Outdoor Learning. It is an employers responsibility to ensure that where required the Health & Safety at Work Act (First Aid Regulations 1981) are met. Those undertaking these training course may be further required to attend a workplace first aid course.

Outdoor First Aid 8 Hour Course

Attending this one-day training fulfils the requirements for delegates attending a range of Mountain Training, British Canoeing and British Cycling Assessments, where indicated.

Outdoor First Aid 16 Hour Course

Attending this two-day training fulfils the requirements for delegates attending a range of Mountain Training, British Canoeing and British Cycling Assessments, where indicated.

Outdoor First Responder (45 hrs)

This Initial Person on Scene of an Incident goes beyond the standard courses. The training includes managing pain, casualty handling & more….

Outdoor First Aid at Work (24 hrs)

This training fulfils the requirements where indicated, of the Workplace First Aid Regulations 1981 & 1982 in NI & is suitable for all centre and outdoor instructional staff.

Employers are required to have suitable and sufficient levels of first aid equipment at each site of operations. This includes holding first aid equipment that can treat a range of injuries from bleeding, breaks and burns.
