Learners are supported before they even step into the classroom. The qualification includes around 12 hours of online pre‑attendance learning, designed to build confidence and ensure everyone arrives prepared.

🧭 What the 5‑Day Face‑to‑Face Course Covers
Across five intensive days, learners develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to:
- Plan and deliver engaging first aid training
- Assess learners fairly and consistently
- Meeting the awarding organisations, HSE & DfE requirements
- Produce and maintain a compliant portfolio of evidence

Assessment includes a portfolio of evidence and a final multiple‑choice exam, with results awarded as Pass or Fail to maintain clarity and regulatory integrity.

Learners must:
- Be 19+
- Hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate (or exemption such as a doctor, Paramedic or occupational nurse) with PIN.
- Be able to perform practical first aid tasks at floor level indoors and outdoors
- Have minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (or higher)
- Have access to a laptop with ability to present slides to their learners and to produce their portfolio of work in editable PDF or Word format throughout the week and prior.
